Crosswalk
In Japan, you may start walking when the light turns blue. This goes back to when Japan had only four colors in the vocabulary - white, black, blue, and red. (The color words that can end with an い.)

A Look Down Kitayobancho
This road is called Sakunami Kaido (作並街道). Sakunami is an onsen (hotspring) up in the mountains to the west of Sendai.
