Nishi Park Kokeshi

This is a kokeshi doll statue in Nishi Park (the statues are much shorter). The kokeshi doll is one of the symbols of Miyagi and all around the are you can find towns with kokeshi doll statues, and a few of them claim to be where they originated.

Spring is in the Air

This past weekend I went to Nishi Park and saw these buds. I am looking forward to spring.

This looks like a traffic jam, but only the cars nearest to me were waiting for the light. It was still a long line though.
