Downtown Sendai From Dainohara

There is a hill near Tohoku Kouko's Dainohara campus that has an observation tower. There is also a pine tree that is marked with a sign saying that it is a few hundred years old. The black and white version of this is much better than the color version.

Berries

Another picture taken in the middle of October. I need to ask someone what kind of berries these are.

Kaki

The kaki (persimmon) are just about ripe. This was taken on 10/11 so they've probably already fallen from the trees.

Asahigaoka Station sits right next to the park. You can even see the park from the platform.

Along the Boardwalk

This is a really nice walkway through the park and over the swamp. Apparently you can catch fireflies here.

I'd really like to take this path back into the woods. I know that it doesn't go far, but it might be fun. That little piece of maroon above the "P" is quirky too.

Looking for Crayfish

I found these two at the park looking for crayfish.

Asahigaoka Station 旭ヶ丘駅

I really like the Asahigaoka Subway Station. Dainohara Park can be seen at ground level from the platform.
