Down by the Falls
The water was higher than I have seen it down by the base of Akiu Waterfall. The rocks where I usually sit were covered by water.

Waiting Outside
In true Japanese fashion, there is a restaurant next to Akiu Falls that sells kakikori and probably some other sweets/coffee. I took a picture of the building, and when I got home I noticed the guy sitting there. He would have been a much more interesting subject.

Crowds
It's not only Tokyo that has unbearable crowds. The best spot to view the falls were in the far corner. Next time I'll go early (or late).
