Here are some pictures I took when I went out to eat in Kokubun-Cho last week. This is the major entertainment area in Sendai with most of the bars, restaurants, and other forms of entertainment.
Is this old Ichibancho street? It sure looks like that. I have some photos taken on this street in 1953. Totally different. And in those days, the whole city of Sendai had only one or two small shops that used Neon.
I also told some friends of mine who were there when I was and they have stopped to look at your blog and admire the city and how it has grown.
