Caterpillar

DSC_5250

I don't know what this is - or what it turns into - but I have never seen a caterpillar with a horn in its rear.

  1. I have no idea what this caterpillar is, but caterpillars with such a horn are not uncommon in Europe, the most famous one being the silkworm. And now that I think about it, it was originally imported from Asia, wasn't it?

  2. Nice call. The picture I found of a silk worm has the right shape, but the color is off. Maybe it is a different breed.
