I was amazed to see these everywhere in Japan, next to roads in the middle of nowhere, next to homes, on the side of some lonely hill or in a forest area.
Is this on Castle Hill? It reminds me of the cemetery up there for some reason. It is certainly more filled than it used to be and the markers are much nicer and more expensive.

ReplyDelete@Tornadoes: I guess they put them where ever they have space. I think mountain slopes are the best place since that land can't really be used.
@Abe: This shot is near Kita Yama, but they are all similar. The graves are expensive.
