That's pretty cluttered all right...by any standards. One of the nicest things where we live is all our utilities are underground. That's not true a couple of blocks away so when a hurricane knocks out power, we go out, too, anyway! Ugh!
I've heard they can't put wires underground here because of (a) the earthquakes they have here and (b) the soil is too acidic because it's made of volcanic ash. I don't believe either excuse.
