Circuit

I've heard two theories about the power lines:
1) the soil is too acidic to bury them
2) earthquakes would rip them apart

Isn't there another way?

  1. I never saw a telephone pole upright after an earthquake when i live there in sendai. But then there wasn't any traffic lights in the city either.

  2. Do you remember any big earthquakes while you were here?

  3. California and Los Angeles in particular bury a lot of the power lines and as you know Cali gets its fair share of quakes. I think Japanese just don't see them as an aesthetic eye sore the way people from other countries do.

  4. I really wish that people had more of an appreciation for their country. Obviously no one here has been to Nebraska, but if they had, they might take better care of their own.
