I really like the outside of this station and they have recently added a little something to the inside as well. At first glance it looks like the ceiling has holes in it [from my picture].
You are just the person I need to talk to! I lived in Sendai in various places for 2 years. One of my favorite subway stations has a hallway to an exit/entrance that is like this one yet has all the constellations. I think it's kotodai koen or hirose dori. I'd love to see pics! Never had the chance to when I was there and I regret it.
