It's been beautiful lately--these pics were taken a few weeks ago. This is Kotodai Koen (park). There is a lot of activity here during the jazz festival when it is filled with stages and bands playing.
I just don't recognize anything from Sendai and I lived there from 1953 to 1956. I was in the Army when Sendai was in its reconstruction period so there were no buildings taller than the postal insurance building which was then a hospital. Everything is new and different.
Glad to see you began this blog. I had one for a while but it was all old 1950s photos.
All of my photos are at the Sendai City Museum of History and Folklore and sometimes they put on a exhibit of my work from the fifties.
I have one at brookvilledailyphoto if you are interested.
