Yurtec Stadium near Izumi Chuo Station is where Sendai's J-League soccer team, Vegalta, play their home games. This stadium also hosts various "lower ranked" J-League events and other sports including rugby. I saw the Sony soccer team play here late last year. Yeah, corporations have their own teams.
I will send your blog URL to some old soldiers, like me, who were stationed there in the 1950s. Most of them will not comment but will look at your pictures and read your posts.
