I wish I had brought my tripod. I saw a shot in a photography magazine where the photog created nice frontal bokeh, but in order to do there here, I would have had to get down on my knees. You cannot always do that.

Morning Walk

One thing about walking to work in Sendai, Japan - you see the same people every morning.

The Last of the Sunflowers

Evening sunflower. This is a great reason to carry my camera everywhere.

This was crushed by the recent downpours we have had here.

Sliding Monkey Tree

The name of this tree is saru suberi which means "monkeys sliding". The tree does not have bark like an oak, so it is smooth. I wonder if someone actually saw a monkey fall out of one.

Overdue

I think the bus company should update their advertisements. Of course, there is not much demand to advertise in buses in Sendai.
