Nishi Park Kokeshi

This is a kokeshi doll statue in Nishi Park (the statues are much shorter). The kokeshi doll is one of the symbols of Miyagi and all around the are you can find towns with kokeshi doll statues, and a few of them claim to be where they originated.

Postal Scooter

I couldn't resist taking a shot of this postal scooter I found while walking in downtown Sendai. I wish I had left a little more room at the bottom of the photo though.
