Kobai Plum Blossoms

These awesome red blossoms are called kobai (紅梅). The fact that I remember that proves that I do in fact listen to her mother sometimes.

Shiki Sakura

This kind of sakura is called a shiki sakura (四季桜) which means four seasons. I don't know why it is called that, but this was the only sakura tree in bloom when I went to Shiogama Shrine, so maybe it is called that because they bloom early.

Soft Sakura

If you go to Shiogama Shrine, be sure to go to the Shiogama Fish market.

Under the Same Tree

This is a little more of what I was going for in the last shot, but not exactly.

Under the Cherry Tree

Shiogama Shrine is a great place to go and look at the trees. It is very near the coast, but it is up on a large hill so it was not affected last year.

This shot is one that I have been thinking of taking for a while, but I only had one lens. Now looking at this, I should have taken a few and made a panorama. I wish I had not seen that. Now I want to go back.

River of Light

A while ago I had a chance to go downtown at night with my camera. There are many interesting things to do with a tripod and a camera.
